You can’t just wake up one day, snap your fingers, and then go pick up a gold medal - becoming an Olympic champion at anything takes real time, energy, and sacrifice. Very few people commit themselves to that pursuit and even fewer achieve their dreams. Well, today, we have a U.S. Olympian with us to talk about the ups and downs of being a world class athlete.
Kate Grace qualified for the 2016 Olympics by winning the Women’s 800-meters at this year’s U.S. Olympic Trials and then reached the final of the 800-meters at the Olympics. Oh yeah! And she’s also my first daughter and I was able to travel to Rio and see her compete in an Olympic Final!

Remember when you were a kid and you'd drop some food on the ground and then you'd pick it up and eat it without a thought? Well, what if I told you that eating that "dirty" piece of food might have actually been good for you?
Today's guest is Dr. Josh Axe. He's the author of Eat Dirt, a book all about curing leaky gut. For more information on Dr. Axe, visit his wonderful website, www.draxe.com.

What do you think it takes to get fit? Most people think that it takes a lot of time and a lot of hard work. Today’s guest disagrees.
Martin Gibala is a professor and the chair of the kinesiology department at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. In Martin’s new book, The One Minute Workout, he reveals the science and the history behind one of the most popular methods of working out: interval training.
Martin’s here to talk about how low can you go - meaning how little exercise you can do and still get results. Martin is being called a “guru” of interval training...even though it’s a label he’s a bit uncomfortable with. But once you read his book, you’ll be blown away with the science that’s showing how to get fit in a much smarter, faster and shorter way.
So if you’re one of the people who thinks they don’t have time to exercise, or you’re not getting results… then you’re going to want to listen up.
